“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” – Matthew 11:28
When I read this verse, I think of a traveler finding an oasis in a desert. The relief and rest found there are much like the rest Jesus offers to our weary souls.
Matthew 11:28 is an invitation from Jesus to bring our burdens to Him. He promises rest and relief from the struggles we face. This rest is not just physical but also spiritual and emotional, providing true peace.
As Christians, we are invited to bring our worries and burdens to Jesus, trusting in His promise to give us rest. His presence is our oasis, offering peace in the midst of life’s deserts.
Prayer:
Dear Lord, Thank You for inviting us to bring our burdens to You. Help us to trust in Your promise of rest and to lay our worries at Your feet. Grant us the peace and relief that only You can provide. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
